Dr. Cornel West, acclaimed social critic, civil rights activist and philosopher, will speak on The Death of the Diploma at Tennessee State University April 22.
The event is sponsored by TSU Division of Student Affairs Distinguished Lecture Series and Leadership TSU. The 7 p.m. lecture in the Kean Hall Gymnasium on the main campus is intended to connect exemplary scholars with students and the community to engage in noteworthy discussions.

The Death of the Diploma will also include organizational presentations, live entertainment and fundamental information toward changing the plight of education on college campuses.
The event is free and open to the public; however, a limited number of floor seats are available via RSVP by contacting Ashleigh Taylor at 901.643.5718 before April 10.
